PURPOSE
This website was created on December 1, 2010 as my way of providing a solution to what I feel is a problem.
In school, history covers America’s explanation and justification of violence towards many groups of people globally. But I am amazed that on this World Aids Day, there is very little argument or debate about how AIDS came into existence. And I find that people tend to just accept the continual maltreatment of black women by defining them as sexually promiscuous and practically having modern day “leprosy.”
Meanwhile, Google created a logo that depicts children skipping around a school bus to celebrate Rosa Parks decision to not give up her seat. While I don’t think that the artists of Google intentionally tried to hurt my feelings (smile), I feel that they are depicting EXACTLY the limited knowledge of what took place in this country that led to Rosa Parks decision.
In some way, it’s my way of being a part of the solution and not just a complainer.
